Why choose the city of Allen? Well, for starters, I live here! But, if that isn’t enough let me give you a few other reasons.
Allen is the fastest growing city in North Texas. However, being only ¼ the physical size of Plano it still has a certain quaintness about it. The school system is superb. A 5A rated system which is consistently accomplishing new records with over 80% of high school graduates going on to college. It is a unified city partly due to the fact that we have chosen to house one “large” high school campus.
Allen’s current population is barely over 70,000. House-hold income is among the highest in the DFW metroplex.
Allen consists mainly of master planned communities featuring golf courses, hike & bike trails, sports fields, swimming pools, tennis courts, water features and many native parks and is keen on preservation.
Allen has a state ranked high school football team, the largest marching band in the world, exceptional ballet and dance, and is the home town of Olympic Gold Medalist Carley Patterson. Allen also features a highly ranked philharmonic symphony.
As a former director of the Allen Chamber of Commerce, I am still “plugged in” to the system and get the “heads up” on the development of this great city.
Allen is an extremely friendly city as it is made up of Americans from all over the USA. Universities and colleges are abundant and high tech industry surrounds the city.
If you enjoy golf drive 10 minutes in any direction and you’ll hit a golf course. If you prefer shopping “The Allen Outlet Mall” is a huge attraction with all the major manufactures and brands. Under construction is over 3.5 million square feet of retail/office/restaurants/condos. Central expressway runs north and south through the heart of Allen and is a short 25 minute drive to downtown Dallas.
Boating/ fishing are a mere 15 minutes to Lake Lavon or 55 minutes to spectacular Lake Texoma with every type of water activity imaginable. With over 1200 miles of shore line, Lake Texoma is a recreational paradise!
If this wets your appetite call me. I have so much more to share.
